The Impact of Digitalization and Dynamic Learning Capability on Organizational Performance: The Case of Peruvian SMEs

This article examines the impact of digitalization and dynamic learning capability (DLC) on the organizational performance of Peruvian SMEs. Based on a theoretical model grounded in the Resource-Based View (RBV) and the Dynamic Capabilities View (DCV), this study was empirically assessed through a quantitative approach applied to 234 executives of Peruvian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed. The results indicate a positive effect of digitalization on DLC, while the latter positively impacts organizational performance, particularly in knowledge acquisition and combination capabilities. The findings highlight the need to strengthen technological infrastructure and competencies, foster organizational learning mechanisms, and design phased digital maturity programs. This study contributes to bridging empirical gaps in emerging contexts and offers practical recommendations to enhance the digital transformation of SMEs.
