The Impact of Organizational Factors On Security Behavioral Intentions
Numerous studies have explored the implementation of information security technology and its impact on individuals and organizations in reducing security threats. However, few studies have investigated the organizational factors that influence individuals' intentions to use information security technology. This paper reviews previous research on the relationship between perceived security culture, IT use governance, perceived. organizational sanctions, and behavioral intentions. To proceed with this research, we analyzed a survey dataset containing 116 responses to empirically validate our research model. The results support the proposed hypotheses, except for the relationship between organizational sanctions and behavioral intentions, which was not significant. Perceived security culture and perceived IT use governance were found to be influential factors in promoting security behavioral intentions.
