Navigating The Paradox of Ai In Cybersecurity: Unpacking Societal Optimism and Ethical Skepticism
As the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into cybersecurity becomes increasingly prevalent, understanding the interplay between societal optimism for AI's potential and skepticism surrounding its ethical implications emerges as a vital area of inquiry. This research endeavors to dissect the complex sentiments held by professionals and the public towards the ethical dimensions of AI in cybersecurity. This study is based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and employs a survey to quantitatively capture perceptions that could significantly influence future policy directions. This study aims to uncover the extent of belief in AI's capacity to enhance cybersecurity against a backdrop of ethical reservations, particularly in terms of personal privacy, trust in automated ethical decision-making, and the need for robust regulatory frameworks.
