Cybersecurity In The Quantum Age: A Bibliometrics Review

In this bibliometrics review, we will explore how quantum computing has impacted cybersecurity to help offer insights to researchers for future studies in this realm. We will first briefly touch on the history of quantum computing and trace its theoretical and practical journey which includes advancements like Shor’s and Grover’s algorithms. We will then dive into the challenges posed by quantum technologies to our current cybersecurity measures which include its effects on traditional cryptographic systems and so on. We will also discuss about the trends in publications, geographical authorship, and thematic focus of the existing literature. Lastly, we will look at what is needed for future studies in this realm, where emphasis is placed on the need for innovative strategies to secure our cybersecurity systems in the quantum era and the importance of collaboration between researchers of different fields due to the vast application of quantum computing.
